The people at GSK are what makes it a great company. There seems to be a culture of camaraderie and mutual respect that is missing in other companies. The people are always willing to help & are very nice and professional. People are mostly happy and have a good attitude, which in turn makes new hires & temps happy to be there. The facilities are tidy and well kept...I believe it is very important to come to work and be surrounded by a sense of order & beauty since you are there 8+ hours a day. It seems that new hires are allowed to learn at their own pace, rather than being expected to know everything immediately and getting angry when they don't know. In turn, new hires are encouraged to learn and grow as much as they are willing, rather than just "knowing their place".
As a temp, it is frustrating to be as capable (or more capable) as permanent employees. You may be working with people who don't have a college degree, but are permanent employees just because they got in at the right time. There are alot of temps, so it is definitely a system of "haves" and "have nots".
Tell everybody what it's like working here.
