Vice President, Chemistry - Mumbai

My client is an innovative biotechnology company who engage in the discovery and development of small molecule drugs. They have sites across Europe and are looking to significantly expand their chemistry operations in Mumbai.

My client is looking for a new Vice President of Chemistry to be based in Mumbai following an internal move within the company.

The role will oversee the scientific operation of the site covering early development processes including library synthesis, medicinal chemistry, analytical chemistry, scale up and non-GLP synthesis with future scope to cover in-vitro ADMET. Direction and strategy of the operation will fall under the VP remit.

My client is looking to receive applications from individuals with a broad background in pharmaceutical/biotechnology development (ideally PhD), experience of operating within/alongside/managing CROs, broad commercial exposure (including budget management and business development) and an in depth appreciation of working in different global environments.

Knowledge of local languages is a plus.
