We are looking for a Tablet Team Leader for our Production facility in Nörten-Hardenberg (Lower Saxony).
Key Responsibilities:
Development of new or improved excipients for solid oral dosage forms
• Identify opportunities for new or improved excipients based on quality or technical factors, and make proposals for the NPD overview committee.
• Act as project leader for some projects / identify and propose appropriate PL for other projects
• Test samples of competitors excipients to identify relative strengths and weaknesses, and maintain an intelligence database of such competitor products.
Technical Support
• Provide laboratory support for process development projects based at any site
• Provide support for laboratory studies, for example stability and functionality monitoring studies of all products as required.
Sales and Marketing Support
• Provide technical sales support and Technology/Product Transfer where applicable, for example by meeting directly with customers, by speaking at seminars or other meetings or by providing web based seminars
• Provide training as appropriate for sales staff, agents etc. in the Nörten-Hardenberg Laboratory
• Lead the technical part of customer training programs
• Initiate and manage application development programs whereby the benefits of DFE excipients are supported by formulation development studies
Management Activities
• Set goals for staff and perform interim and year end appraisals
• Provide direction or support as needed for staff to enable them to achieve their goals
• Help with recruitment and training of new staff
• Ensure that the laboratories are run in compliance with appropriate SH&E and ISO requirements
• Provide input into R & D budget preparation and budget control
Management of External Research and Development
• Identify areas of external collaborative research with Universities or Research Institutes, arrange contracts and manage the external research
Other
• Any other reasonable task assigned by the manger of Pharma R&D/QC or the CEO
Position Requirements
Education and experience
• Minimum graduate level in a relevant subject (pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science)
• Minimum of three years experience in a relevant field (excipients industry, pharmaceutical product development, university second degree (PhD) in pharmaceutics related subject
• This may be a first management role
• Fluent in English (written & spoken); proficient in German (written & spoken)
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently
• Self-starting and “can do†attitude
• Willing to undertake significant travel (weeks per year)
Candidate Profile:
• Completed University Degree (Science)
• Experience in Project Management desirable
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or Consumer Health Care market desirable
• Proficiency with MS-Office
• Proficiency in German and English (read, write, speak) and a internationally-oriented way of thinking
• Willingness and able to travel on business
• Work experience (or internship experience) in the industry are vital
• Must have a systematical work structure
