Social Services Director for Edgewood Manor in Texarkana, TX

Responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Social Service Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, as well as established policies and procedures, to ensure that the medically-related emotional and social needs of the patients/​residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.​

* Responsible for coordinating all admissions and discharges to ensure facility census is kept at its maximum capacity.​

QUALIFICATIONS

o EDUCATION

Must possess as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling and psychology; and one year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals.​

o EXPERIENCE

Must have, as a minimum, two years experience in a supervisory capacity in a Long Term Care or hospital setting, or preferably, a facility serving the developmentally disabled.​ Any combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.​
