Senior Director of Clinical Operations & Pharmacology - CA
Hays Pharma are looking for a Global Director of Clinical Operations and Pharmacology for one of our clients in Southern California.
Our client is currently undergoing rapid expansion after yet another successful year and is looking for key hire for their Clinical Operations team.
In this role you will be expected to lead and help build the Global Clinical Pharmacology Team to ensure the execution of studies for successful development. You will be expected to ensure a high degree of quality, productivity and communication to the department and therapeutic areas for the timely completion of all clinical studies.
In this role you will also be expected to implement processes for life cycles of clinical pharmacology samples and manage clinical pharmacology methods and vendors according to all applicable rules and regulations including Good Laboratory Practices and CLIA regulations.
You will also contribute to the Clinical Pharmacology strategic and operational development by acting at a high level within the group and ensuring consistency in implementing operations in regions following global practices and SOPs/WIs.
Finally you will be need to identify global Phase 1 units based on their capabilities, available subject population, suitable site equipment, time to do the study, and site's and investigator's experience of specific clinical pharmacology models. Your responsibility will be for all phases from Study Concept to Study Management to Close-Out.
For this role you must have experience in a relevant field with a BS degree, a MS degree or a Pharm D.
You should have strong clinical operations and clinical pharmacology experience working in a clinical pharmacology operations organization, preferably within a pharmaceutical firm or a CRO. You should also have experience working in clinical research with a strong understanding of the clinical and drug development process.
This role will rely on you to show strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding or knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practices, GLPs, CLIAs, Clinical Safety Data Management, clinical trials management and regulatory compliance.
You must also be prepared to travel up to 20%
