Sales Representative Medical Device/ Peripheral Intervention - Our Customer is a family owned business that has been developing health care devices since 1969. Over the years, their activity grew to a global level. They became a company at the forefront of medical research and worldwide sales of products for endovascular therapy, critical care medicine, general surgery, diagnostic and interventional procedures, and more.
For their Belgian division specialized in peripheral interventions, they are currently recruiting a Sales Representative for the Flemish part of Belgium. The position will be home based.
Objective
The primary purpose of this position is to increase the sales and profitability of the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) in the assigned territory (Flanders or Wallonia). This should be achieved by implementing local sales and marketing strategies which have been agreed with the Regional Manager and are in support of the goals and general strategies of the SBU. The Sales Representative must develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the peripheral interventions products and their associated clinical areas of use.
Responsibilities
- Develop an excellent knowledge of the product range and a sound understanding of the associated medical discipline
- Meet or exceed the sales targets
- Develop and maintain active relationships with key accounts and key regional physicians
- Provide technical training and support to doctors, nurses and pharmacists on the use of Company's medical devices as required
- Arrange meetings between customers and Key Account personnel or SBU management as appropriate to facilitate tender negotiations, group purchasing contracts, etc
- Monitor market share and competitor activity in the assigned territory
- Provide market intelligence and other appropriate feedback to SBU management in a timely manner
- Organize and participate in local and international exhibitions and meetings as requested
- Understand and follow company quality policies and procedures
- Seek and evaluate new product ideas, providing adequate information and facilitating ongoing communication.
- Assist in product evaluations and/or clinical studies as appropriate
- Provide written reports to the Regional Manger/Field Support Manager
Qualifications
- Dutch speaking with a god written and verbal command of English
- Product or Procedural knowledge for cardio or aortic intervention is a must
- Former sales experience is an asset but not absolutely required
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- High self-motivation
