Our client is currently looking to grow their health economics and reimbursement/market access team and want a manager to help develop and implement national reimbursement communication plans and manage preparation of submissions to payers and customers.
In this role you will be working with key stakeholders to demonstrate the value of developed and developing products, which will rely on you to build strong relationships at a high level within the business. You will be expected to support the business in developing positive relationships with Medical & Government Affairs regional managers/directors, key reimbursement decision makers (e.g. drug plan managers) and key influencers (e.g. regional physician advocacy panels) as well as patient advocacy groups, on all issues relating to market access.
You will be expected to manage vendors to develop health economics models to support the value propositions of our clients products and assist in the design, launch and market access of clinical and health economic studies. As part of your role you will also be expected to maintain awareness of the evolving Canadian and global healthcare markets and the needs of key decision-makers to inform development of pricing strategies. This will then involve responsibilities for developing claims and collection policies and managing accounts receivable to maximize reimbursement.
You will be expected therefore to create a Market Access Plan for each product, including a comprehensive pricing, reimbursement and HTA stakeholder map as well as identify health economic data needed for future submissions to reimbursement agencies.
For this role you must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in health sciences, pharmacy, economics, governmental policy or related discipline with strong market access experience in the pharmaceutical industry. You should have the ability to assess clinical and pharmacoeconomic data targeted to payers and experience in preparing payer submission (both for CDR and Quebec) and developing product listing agreements. You should also have experience in developing health economic models and any experience in the pain therapeutic area will be a benefit.
