Production Manager for Genzyme Biosurgery
One of the world's leading biotechnology companies, Genzyme is now looking for a Production Manager to the Genzyme Biosurgery site in Kastrup, Copenhagen. Genzyme Biosurgery develops and markets innovative, biologically based products for health conditions. The current product lines are used for osteoarthritis relief, adhesion prevention, cartilage repair and severe burn treatment.

The position
The organisation is characterized by a flat organisational structure so you will absolutely get influence and you will experience huge openness regarding new ideas and actions. You will report to Managing Director and will lead 7 lab technicians through 2 supervisors and one employee who is responsible for storage and IT. The daily work will be characterized by equal parts of 'hands on” operational tasks and strategic work, so you will get a very varied working day. You will cooperate closely with the quality department which consists of a very skilled and experienced team. You will become a member of the Quality Group and the Management Group.
Areas of responsibility
Overall management of production, storage and IT areas - coordination, planning and handling of deviations, etc.
Budget responsible for the production
Coaching of laboratory supervisors
Management of equipment and technical matters in close collaboration with Quality Assurance
Supervision of microbiological analysis
Interpretation and reporting of production results
Batch and patient documentation
Materials, service for production equipment, storage
Experience/Skills
You hold a master degree - maybe in biology, molecular biology or chemistry but the direction is not crucial
Microbiological and cell culturing knowledge
Demonstration of strong leadership skills
Ability to perform detailed observations and to analyze data
Ability to write technical reports and summaries, to keep records and to make quantitative analysis according to directions
Ability to read and understand relevant scientific and technical literature
Willingness to accept the principles of GMP and Danish tissue law and the related directives
Experience in validation and qualification of equipment
Fluent in English - oral and written
Personal skills
Accomplished in leading employees through other - good coaching of your employees is crucial for your success in the job
You lead with a natural consequence and authority but are at the same time a dedicated team player
A skilled communicator on all levels - it is natural for you to build relations on cross of the organisation
