TITLE: Product Director - CNS
SALARY RANGE: Up to $160k base, plus obnus and stock options
RELO: Full relo available
The individual employed in this position is responsible for a variety of functions within the assigned brand team. The individual will have a minimum of one to two direct reports and may ultimately be responsible for a significant portion of the team's activities including but not limited to forecasting, strategic planning, promotional materials development, medical education, public relations, lifecycle management and other projects related to brand management. As leader of a team, the incumbent will ensure efficient teamwork on time and budget, as well as efficient collection and transmission of all important market, competitive and product information on the brand to and between marketing, sales and R&D.
Responsibilities:
* Establish strategic direction for this therapeutic category and devise tactical plans for that strategy to obtain
* Develop overall marketing plans for the product(s), encompassing manufacturing operations, advertising, public relations, sales force participation and legal/regulatory concerns; thus ensuring the harmonization of all marketing activities for the product(s) in all markets
* Analyze the success of existing initiatives and programs, building on them to develop or direct, the development of new initiatives to meet the needs of both internal and external customers
* Interface with other functional areas to ensure that resources and efforts are strategically focused to achieve the objectives of the brand(s
* Drive the successful launch of new products
* Assist the team in directing and monitoring outside vendors/agencies, ensuring that objectives are met
* Establish and maintain relationships with key thought leaders in the healthcare industry and develop and deliver presentations to various audiences on different aspects of their therapeutic category
* Lead, motivate and develop the team of professionals reporting to this position. This includes acting as an important mentor for others throughout the marketing organization and fostering an environment of open debate and free exchange of information.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's required; MBA preferred
* 3-6 years of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry
* CNS experience is highly desired
* Solid US inline marketing experience
* Managerial experience along with sales or other related experience, and will have worked on one or more products
* Must understand the pharmaceutical marketing mix medical education, public relations, patient incentives and must understand how this works together to produce results.
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Able to demonstrate strong analytical skills and original thinking
