Project Description: Single compound purification (SCP) is a process within Discovery Chemistry that generates value by transitioning analysis and purification tasks to a centralized group of analytical chemists.
Project Deliverables:
At the conclusion of this project, SCPi will:
-Deliver informatics capabilities needed to support the SCP build-out.
-Support SCP Operations and Automation deliverables that are also needed to support the SCP build-out.
-Improve reliability and performance by upgrading an out of date architecture.
Expectations:
• The candidate should be familiar with Pharma Discovery process with specific experience around analytical workflows and high throughput analytical sciences
• Absolute necessities are for the candidate to be very detail oriented and a good communicator
• The software being tested will be full of analytical data and chemistry info. The ideal person will have some experience in this area or at a minimum be able to work with someone who does to create test scripts.
• The candidate should be very computer literate and understand basic usability concepts (i.e., common usage patterns for forms, grids, menus, toolbars, shortcuts, mouse commands, etc.).
• The person will also be responsible for creating any documentation needed to hand the software off to Help Desk. So written skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to understand what the developers/support people are looking for are also a must.
Emphasis on the following core support skills
• Provides technical, testing and QA Documentation support for one or more scientific applications.
• Participates in ongoing analysis, design, deployment, validation, implementation, integration, support, and administration for one or more scientific applications.
• Scientific knowledge or experience (Analytical Chemistry) strongly required.
• Leads efforts in deployment, validation, testing, documentation, implementation, integration, support and administration for one or more scientific applications.
• Defines, plans and implements the goals and milestones associated with one or more scientific application implementation or upgrade projects.
Required Skills: Pharma Discovery, Scientific knowledge or experience, Analytical Chemistry, detail oriented, and excellent communicator.
This 6+ month position starts ASAP.
