Clinical Research Regional Director, North America

Clinical Research Regional Senior Director required for a pioneering role at a rapidly-expanding and highly-successful pharmaceutical company.

Our prestigious client, based on the West Coast, is looking for a Clinical Research Director to run North America and potentially Latin America also.

This is a highly visual and important role whereby you will be responsible for leading and managing clinical site management and monitoring activities in the Americas region. This will involve developing a long-term strategic plan and implementing this plan by leading and developing a team of regional area managers and staff to deliver on all clinical trial commitments.

You will be responsible for determining annual regional goals regarding global and local CT commitments, selecting local and regional external partners and approving oversight plans, maintaining and building relationships with key opinion leaders and evaluating the region's capabilities, opportunities and potential.

For this role you should have a MD/PhD or other advanced degree/life experience relevant to healthcare and/or clinical science, at least ten years of pharmaceutical experience, a minimum of three years managerial experience and a proven background in clinical trial planning and execution. You should also have worked in global project teams, have finance/budget planning experience and an in-depth understanding of the drug development process, good clinical practices, as well as an understanding of clinical research ethics and clinical trials conduct. A background in neurology, pain, dermatology and opthalomogy is beneficial.

To be able to run Latin America as well as North America, you must have Spanish language skills.
